The 2007 Chevrolet Kodiak C4500
The Chevrolet Kodiak line, which is a pool of medium duty trucks, has been well-known to Chevy owners and enthusiasts. The General Motors Corporation-produced Chevrolet or Chevy can brag about the versatility, durability, and reliability of the truck wonder of the Kodiak.
Available in 4×4 Regular Cab and Crew Cab, Chevrolet Kodiak has been geared with powerful mechanisms that will surely put the other branded trucks in vain. For starters, the 2007 Kodiak C4500 has been equipped with the standard automatic and new vocational Allison six-speed transmission. Kodiak truck testers were surprised to have experienced a smooth shifting through gears, thanks to the Allison transmission. This high technology software installed in the transmission can also detect the kind of load the Chevrolet Kodiak is carrying. With that, the truck will be able to adjust quickly and will still avail of the seamless shift pattern. Moreover, the gearbox holds gears longer than many of the transmissions tuned for maximum fuel economy. Speeding up and changing gears w ill no longer be a problem for this medium duty truck. Drivers who are lucky to make it behind the wheels of the Chevrolet Kodiak will be given the chance to experience the convenience of gear shifting for this truck.

With the Chevy Kodiak’s hassle-free transmission, the engine of course was made to match that. In order to answer the so-called medium duty demands, the latest Kodiak C4500 has a beefed up engine to boot. This truck model boasts of engine choice which include Vortec 8100 MD V8 gas engine or a Duramax 6600 turbo diesel engine (350 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque). Future owners, which are probably from the medium duty industry, can choose from these two engine options to match up job needs and demands of the commercial world. The powerful the engine, however, will amount to a bigger price of $48,678 compared to the Vortec’s $34, 086 tag price.
Moving over the exterior of the Chevrolet Kodiak C4500, the truck has the pickup bed with a 30,000-pound rate pop-up gooseneck which is hidden underneath. This powerful truck cannot go away with just a powerful engine, thus Kodiak was equipped with an equally powerful suspension system. The Ultra Ride air suspension was able to improve the empty ride and increase the overall carrying capacity of the Chevrolet truck. The beefed up suspension system has also a cabin auto part partner. The Kodiak boasts of fully air-suspended seats, which includes two additional airbags under the cab, along with two shock absorbers, that will make driving on a bumpy road less distressing to its passengers.
