New Ad Campaign For The Chevrolet Malibu

November 1 is a significant day for those who have waited so long for the release of the 2008 Chevrolet Malibu.

 

As a preparation for the release, massive advertising and promotional campaign that will officially be started on October 17.

 

This is the latest installment to Chevrolet’s Marketing Revolution Campaign that has been dominating the airwaves. The Malibu campaign will focus on the broadcast and online coverage of the Major League Baseball 2007 League Championships and World Series. It will also dominate some primetime programs and cable television.

 

There will be sequential phases in the launch of the Malibu campaign. The first phase will feature extreme exposure to the consumers in order to get their attention and make them realize that a new contender has arrived. The second phase will involve third party endorsements so as to build credibility and a good reputation for the Chevrolet Malibu. The third and final phase will involve emotionally convince consumers by providing strong evidence why the Malibu is a car that is not worth ignoring.

The campaign, which was created by Campbell-Ewald will also feature messages and information about the Malibu’s quality, reliability and durability. These will also give emphasis on its uniquely designed interior and exterior and of course, its safety.

 

Chevrolet Becomes Best-Seller In Russia

Foreign cars have been continuously doing well in the Russian market with an increase of about 63 percent, which is equivalent to 1,137,238 from January to September. This data is according to the statistics report of Carmakers Committee of the European Business Association in the RF.

 

According to the analysts, there are various reasons behind the sales growth of foreign cars in Russia. First of all, the people in Russia are earning higher incomes and second is the expansion to the regions of Russia. The third factor is the presence of consumer loans that offer various opportunities.

 

Because of this stable growth, foreign car companies are improving and constructing their plants in Russia. GM, in particular is planning to double the capacity of its facility located near St. Petersburg. The company expects this facility to make 100, 000 cars per year to meet Russia’s increasing demand.

The 2008 Equinox Sport

The Chevrolet Equinox is a compact crossover produced by Chevrolet. For the model year 2008, the Equinox introduces a new version called the Equinox Sport.

 

Behind the name of this new version are its updated looks and the introduction of the new V6 engine that could generate as much as 236 horsepower, combined with a six-speed automatic transmission. Also included are tap-shift controls for semi-manual gear changes. To make the Sporty look complete, 18-inch wheels and a tuned exhaust are also added.

 

Aside form the Equinox Sport, other Equinox versions are also available. These ate the LS and LT trims that ate either front or all-wheel drive. These versions use the standard 3.4 liter V-6 rated engine that can deliver 185 horsepower.

 

All 2008 versions are equipped with standard OnStar hardware and a relocated compass. They are also available in three new exterior colors
