Chevy Exhaust
High quality Exhaust and other Exhaust System components for Less Harmful Emissions
Chevy Exhaust Systems functions as the car's transportation system which assists the waste
exhaust material from the engine to the tailpipe. Exhaust for Chevy use high-performance
exhaust system with one or two mufflers and tailpipes. This exhaust type is commonly
called cat-back exhaust or dual exhaust system. With this type, increase in horsepower
is savored by the vehicle with much better breathing capacity. In general the
car's exhaust system is made up sensitive components such as, manifold, header,
air pump, converter, muffler valve and exhaust tip, pipe gasket. Exhaust tip can
be seen outside the car's underbody although it may depend on the location of
the exhaust system. Aside from improved performance, style and design of the vehicle
can also be changed by installing new Chevy exhaust tip. It is available in various
assortments including chrome and polished stainless steel in different sizes and
shapes.

Parallel with the soaring growth of impressive models and makes produced including
Chevrolet vehicles is the growing number of enticed auto users and buyers from
different corners of the world. Thus more exhaust is emitted in the air causing
pollution and hazards to the lives and health not only of the users but also of
ordinary individuals. Auto exhaust systems give off several types of pollutants
which can lead to further negative health complications and worse, death. Some
of which are Hydrocarbons, Nitrogen Oxides, Carbon Monoxide and Carbon Dioxide.
Fuel molecules that have not been burned thoroughly results to Hydrocarbon exhausts.
Hydrocarbon comes from the mixture of nitrogen oxides and sunlight which is also
the main elements of smog. It is considered as the most common cause of air problems
on urban areas. Effects on health include simple irritation of the eyes, lung
damage and other respiratory problems. It is also one of the supposed potential
causes of cancer. Nitrogen oxides, scientifically known as NOx, are the emission
produced once a chemical reaction is formed between nitrogen and oxygen atoms
react under high pressure and temperature. Like hydrocarbons, it can also cause
acid rain. The car's exhaust system has catalytic converters that break down nitrogen
gases which actually forms nitrous oxide. Cars with converters usually produce
half of the total nitrous oxide present in the atmosphere.
CO or carbon monoxide is colorless and odorless but it is as harmful as the other
mentioned exhausts. Like hydrocarbon, it is also the result of incomplete burning
of fuel emitted from the exhaust pipes. Cars have the biggest share in the carbon
monoxide present in the atmosphere. Carbon dioxide on the other hand is the end-product
of complete or perfect combustion and does not directly affect health. Yet it
is a greenhouse gas that leads to global warming.
